DESCRIPTION:We’re bringing Enduro back to Ōtautahi for one unforgettable weekend! \nWhether you’re gunning for the top step of the podium\, tackling your first Enduro race\, or just keen for a day out on the trails with your mates\, there’ll be two days of riding\, racing and guaranteed good times. \nCHOOSE YOUR CHALLENGE \nWe’re all about giving you options\, meaning everyone gets a day on the hill they won’t forget (for the right reasons). \nSeven Stage / Long Course \nFor the seasoned pros\, or those who think they’re game to take on the biggest challenge\, we’ve got a seven-stage course that’ll test your limits with over 1000 metres of climbing and a variety of technical trails. The transitions between stages are not. However\, you have to keep one eye on the clock as you transition\, otherwise you risk missing your final stage drop window. \nTransition stages will include some lung-busting uphill pedals mixed with scenic chairlift moments\, a perfect combo to experience the best of the Park and spin some yarns with mates. \nThere will be no aid station for either course\, riders will need to be self-sufficient from the event village base. Mechanic services will be available at the village. \nFurther race rules will be provided closer to race day. \n  \nHOW THE WEEKEND WORKS \nSaturday 10 October 2026: Official Practice \nRegistered riders will have the opportunity to practice the race stages and prepare for Sunday’s race. \nRiders must have their race plate on their bike to access the chairlift and trails for both practice and race day. Saturday practice will be marshalled. \nAll stages will be open on Saturday during park opening hours. Stages can be completed in any order on practice day only. \nSunday 11 October 2026: Race Day \nRace Day format will be advised closer to the time\, along with stages for each race. \nRiders should expect to be onsite from approximately 8:00am – 5:00pm. \nAN EVENT FOR ALMOST EVERYONE \nŌtautahi Enduro is suitable for riders over the age of 13 years as of 31st December 2026. The renowned gondola ride up the mountain gives you access to some of the most challenging and exciting tracks in the country\, with breathtaking views of Lake Rotorua and the surrounding area. This is the perfect venue to kick off the 2026 NZDH series\, promising riders and spectators an adrenaline-packed weekend. \nSign On NZDH: 16th October at Cyclezone Rotorua 3pm – 6pm. There will be no sign on Saturday\, so riders must pick up Friday evening or organise collection. \nSign On NZDH Junior: 17th October at Skyline Rotorua 2pm – 5pm. There will be no sign on Sunday\, so riders must pick up Saturday or organise collection. \nSkyline Mountain Bike Park will be open Friday 17th of October\, however the track being used for the race will be CLOSED. Riders can utilise other trails and ride at their own cost. DESCRIPTION:A loosener after the winter hiatus\, the Summer Series opener is a great opportunity to bed in those new pads\, debut that new whip and find out where you’re at\, and what might need some improvement. \nRace base and sign-in will be at the end of Bowenvale Ave. \nPlease note that parents/guardians of riders under the age of 14 are expected to remain present for the duration of racing. We reserve the right to withdraw children under this age from the race if a parent/guardian is not present. \nThe Location \n\n\nThe race base is the grass area at the end of Bowenvale Ave. \n\n\nThere is no water supply on site – please ensure riders bring adequate supplies for the day \n\n\nThere is absolutely no parking in this area – you will need to park in the car park at the end of Bowenvale Ave. or on the street heading back towards Centaurus Road. Please note that this is a residential street\, so please respect the residents that live there and park and behave respectfully (we have had complaints\, particularly about bad language\, in the past) \n\n\nThe finish line is up Bowenvale Valley\, which can be accessed from the race base via the Bowenvale Valley Track \n\n\nThe start line is at the top of Victoria Park\, just to the East of the Summit Road car park up the hill from the Sign of the Kiwi \n\n\nShuttles will carry riders from the race base to the start line. \n\n\nThere is no capacity for spectators in the shuttles.
